ANNOUNCEMENTS AND UPCOMING EVENTS

Dot Park 2: A fundraiser will be held for the Dorchester Park restoration at Tavolo on Monday, November 10th at 7:00 PM. Dinner and salad buffets and valet parking included. Details and reservations at www.dotpark.org

LOWER MILLS HOLIDAY STROLL: Browse the Lower Mills businesses on Thursday evening, November 13th. Refreshments and entertainment will also be provided.

HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA: Saturday, November 15th from 5-9 PM at the Pope John Paul II Neponset Campus (formerly St. Ann's). Visit vendors for early Christmas shopping and enjoy some holiday cheer at our Jingle Bell Café! Cost is $5 - seniors are free. FOOD & FUEL CAMPAIGN: Contact the Mayor's 24 hour Constituent Services Line @ 617-635-4500 for information about programs designed to help small businesses and residents address the rising cost of food and fuel.

NEIGHBORHOOD WALKING CLUB: Join The Neighborhood Walking Club! Walks take place Monday at 7PM and Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 9:00AM. We meet at the corner of Carruth Street and Radford Lane. We always welcome new faces! "Baby Carriage" Walks take place at 10am Tuesday mornings from 39 Carruth Street

November Neighborhood Meeting:

  • POLICE REPORTS: There will be police reports from the Boston Police and the MBTA Police.
  • TREASURER'S REPORT
  • WAINWRIGHT BANK: Nick Calos, Vice President of Wainwright Bank will speak about the new branch, now open, in the Carruth Building.
  • LOWER MILLS HOLIDAY STROLL: Lynda Watson of Streamline Antiques in Lower Mills will speak about the Lower Mills Holiday Stroll which will be held on November 13th as well as other neighborhood related matters.
  • MBTA: General Manager Dan Grabauskas responded to a letter from AANA regarding the high pitched noise of the trolley at Ashmont Station. A design flaw was found in the lubrication system and the issue is being addressed.
